Leer \Leer\, v. i. [imp. & p. p. {Leered} (l[=e]rd); p. pr. &

   To look with a leer; to look askance with a suggestive
   expression, as of hatred, contempt, lust, etc.; to cast a
   sidelong lustful or malign look.
