Scripture \Scrip"ture\ (?; 135), n. [L. scriptura, fr. scribere,
scriptum, to write: cf. OF. escripture, escriture, F.
['e]criture. See {Scribe}.]
1. Anything written; a writing; a document; an inscription.
I have put it in scripture and in remembrance.
