Tipple \Tip"ple\, n. [Cf. 3d {Tip}.]
   An apparatus by which loaded cars are emptied by tipping;
   also, the place where such tipping is done.

Tipple \Tip"ple\, v. t.
   1. To drink, as strong liquors, frequently or in excess.

            Himself, for saving charges, A peeled, sliced onions
            eats, and tipples verjuice.           --Dryden.

   2. To put up in bundles in order to dry, as hay.
