Simulate \Sim"u*late\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. {Simulated}; p. pr. &
   vb. n. {Simulating}.]
   To assume the mere appearance of, without the reality; to
   assume the signs or indications of, falsely; to counterfeit;
   to feign.
