Zamang \Za*mang"\, n. (Bot.)
An immense leguminous tree ({Pithecolobium Saman}) of
Venezuela. Its branches form a hemispherical mass, often one
hundred and eighty feet across. The sweet pulpy pods are used
commonly for feeding cattle. Also called {rain tree}. --J.
