   pu[^i]t['e] younger, later born, OF. puisn['e]; puis
   afterwards (L. post; see {Post-}) + n['e] born, L. natus. See
   {Natal}, and cf. {Puisne}.]
   Imperfectly developed in size or vigor; small and feeble;
   inferior; petty.
