Presentiment \Pre*sen"ti*ment\, n. [Pref. pre- + sentiment: cf.

   Previous sentiment, conception, or opinion; previous
   apprehension; especially, an antecedent impression or
   conviction of something unpleasant, distressing, or
   calamitous, about to happen; anticipation of evil;
   foreboding.
