Patronize \Pa"tron*ize\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. {Patronized}; p.
pr. & vb. n. {Patronizing}.]
1. To act as patron toward; to support; to countenance; to
favor; to aid.
The idea has been patronized by two States only.
