   Exhibiting parsimony; sparing in expenditure of money; frugal
   to excess; penurious; niggardly; stingy. --
   {Par`si*mo"ni*ous*ly}, adv. -- {Par`si*mo"ni*ous*ness}, n.

         A prodigal king is nearer a tyrant than a parsimonious.
