Panegyric \Pan`e*gyr"ic\, n. [L. panegyricus, Gr. panhgyrico`s:

An oration or eulogy in praise of some person or achievement;
a formal or elaborate encomium; a laudatory discourse;
laudation. See Synonym of {Eulogy}.
