   1. The act of humiliating or humbling; abasement of pride;
      mortification. --Bp. Hopkins.

   2. The state of being humiliated, humbled, or reduced to
      lowliness or submission.

            The former was a humiliation of Deity; the latter a
            humiliation of manhood.               --Hooker.
