Gopher client
     
         A program which runs on your local computer and
        provides a {user interface} to the {Gopher} {protocol} and to
        gopher servers.  {Web browsers} can act as Gopher clients and
        simple Gopher-only clients are available for ordinary
        terminals, the {X Window System}, {GNU Emacs}, and other
        systems.
