Forbidding \For*bid"ding\, a.
Repelling approach; repulsive; raising abhorrence, aversion,
or dislike; disagreeable; prohibiting or interdicting; as, a
forbidding aspect; a forbidding formality; a forbidding air.
Syn: Disagreeable; unpleasant; displeasing; offensive;
