   separation, difference, discernment, fr. discernere,
   discretum. See {Discreet}, {Discern}.]
   1. Disjunction; separation. [Obs.] --Mede.

   2. The quality of being discreet; wise conduct and
      management; cautious discernment, especially as to matters
      of propriety and self-control; prudence; circumspection;
      wariness.
