Crone \Crone\ (kr?n), n. [OD. kronie, karonie, an old sheep, OF.
   carogne, F. charogne, carrion (also F. carogne illnatured
   woman.). See {Carrion}, and {Crony}.]
   1. An old ewe. [Obs.] --Tusser.
