Chaff \Chaff\, v. i. [imp. & p. p. {Chaffed}; p. pr. & vb. n.
   {Chaffing}.]
   To use light, idle language by way of fun or ridicule; to
   banter.

   To make fun of; to turn into ridicule by addressing in
   ironical or bantering language; to quiz.
