Beleaguer \Be*lea"guer\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. {Beleaguered}; p.

belagern, Sw. bel["a]gra, Dan. beleire); pref. be- = E. be- +
leger bed, camp, army, akin to E. lair. See {Lair}.]

besiege; to blockade.
