Adjuration \Ad`ju*ra"tion\, n. [L. adjuratio, fr. adjurare: cf.
   F. adjuration. See {Adjure}.]
   1. The act of adjuring; a solemn charging on oath, or under
      the penalty of a curse; an earnest appeal.
