Tenn'e \Ten`n['e]"\, n. [Cf. {Tawny}.] (Her.)
   A tincture, rarely employed, which is considered as an orange
   color or bright brown. It is represented by diagonal lines
   from sinister to dexter, crossed by vertical lines.
