Strisores \Stri*so"res\, n. pl. [NL.; cf. L. stridere to creak,
   whiz, buzz.] (Zo["o]l.)
   A division of passerine birds including the humming birds,
   swifts, and goatsuckers. It is now generally considered an
   artificial group.
