   (-sp?rd"); p. pr. & vvb. n. {Respiring}.] [L. respirare,
   respiratum; pref. re- re- + spirare to breathe: cf. F.
   respirer. See {Spirit}.]
   1. To take breath again; hence, to take rest or refreshment.
