Pyromucic \Pyr`o*mu"cic\, a. [Pyro- + mucic.] (Chem.)
   Pertaining to, derived from, or designating, an acid obtained
   as a white crystalline substance by the distillation of mucic
   acid, or by the oxidation of furfurol.
