Populous \Pop"u*lous\, a. [L. populosus, fr. populus people: cf.
F. populeux.]
1. Abounding in people; full of inhabitants; containing many
inhabitants in proportion to the extent of the country.
Heaven, yet populous, retains Number sufficient to
