Plumbagineous \Plum`ba*gin"e*ous\, a. (Bot.)
   Pertaining to natural order ({Plumbagine[ae]}) of
   gamopetalous herbs, of which Plumbago is the type. The order
   includes also the marsh rosemary, the thrift, and a few other
   genera.
