   Variegated with spots of different colors; party-colored;
   spotted; piebald. ``Pied coats.'' --Burton. ``Meadows trim
   with daisies pied.'' --Milton.

   {Pied-billed grebe} (Zo["o]l.), the dabchick.

   {Pied blackbird} (Zo["o]l.), any Asiatic thrush of the genus
      {Turdulus}.

   {Pied flycatcher} (Zo["o]l.), a common European flycatcher
