Tulipwood \Tu"lip*wood`\, n.
   The beautiful rose-colored striped wood of a Brazilian tree
   ({Physocalymna floribunda}), much used by cabinetmakers for
   inlaying.

   {Queensland tulipwood}, the variegated wood of an Australian
