Phocenic \Pho*cen"ic\, a. [Gr. ? a porpoise.] (Chem.)
   Of or pertaining to dolphin oil or porpoise oil; -- said of
   an acid (called also delphinic acid) subsequently found to be
   identical with valeric acid. --Watts.
