Olea \O"le*a\, n. [L. olive. See {Olive}.] (Bot.)
   A genus of trees including the olive.

   Note: The Chinese {Olea fragrans}, noted for its fragrance,
         and the American devilwood ({Olea Americana}) are now
         usually referred to another genus ({Osmanthus}).
