Handsome \Hand"some\ (?; 277), a. [Compar. {Handsomer}; superl.
{Handsomest}.] [Hand + -some. It at first meant, dexterous;
cf. D. handzaam dexterous, ready, limber, manageable, and E.
handy.]
1. Dexterous; skillful; handy; ready; convenient; -- applied
to things as persons. [Obs.]
