Funeral \Fu"ner*al\, a. [LL. funeralis. See {Funeral}, n.]
   Per. taining to a funeral; used at the interment of the dead;
   as, funeral rites, honors, or ceremonies. --Shak.

      which a dead body is placed to be reduced to ashes, as
