One who, or that which, makes calm.
Calm \Calm\ (k[aum]m), a. [Compar. {Calmer} (-[~e]r); super.

1. Not stormy; without motion, as of winds or waves; still;
quiet; serene; undisturbed. ``Calm was the day.''
