Caesar \C[ae]"sar\, n. [L.]
   A Roman emperor, as being the successor of Augustus C[ae]sar.
   Hence, a kaiser, or emperor of Germany, or any emperor or
   powerful ruler. See {Kaiser}, {Kesar}.
