Sulphinic \Sul*phin"ic\, a. (Chem.)
   Of, pertaining to, or designating, any one of a series of
   acids regarded as acid ethereal salts of hyposulphurous acid;
   as, methyl sulphinic acid, {CH3.SO.OH}, a thick unstable
   liquid.
