Brasse \Brasse\, n. [Perh. a transposition of barse; but cf. LG.
   brasse the bream, G. brassen Cf. {Bream}.] (Zo["o]l.)
   A spotted European fish of the genus {Lucioperca}, resembling
   a perch.
