Allodial \Al*lo"di*al\, a. [LL. allodialis, fr. allodium: cf. F.
   allodial. See {Allodium}.] (Law)
   Pertaining to allodium; freehold; free of rent or service;
   held independent of a lord paramount; -- opposed to {feudal};
   as, allodial lands; allodial system. --Blackstone.
