Coaita \Co*ai"ta\ (k[-o]*[aum][i^]"t[.a]), n. (Zo["o]l.)
   The native name of certain South American monkeys of the
   genus {Ateles}, esp. {A. paniscus}. The black-faced coaita is
   {Ateles ater}. See Illustration in Appendix.
